Reality devotion

Newest devotion: what’s real.

I have re-purposed a ox-bone skull mala bracelet with 20 beads for waking up each morning, and for the last few months of this practice it has done wonders.  With each little skull between my fingers — reminding me of mortality and appreciation for life — I focus on what’s real instead of stories.

I live in a beautiful exciting place.  I am alive and well.  I have all 5 senses and all 4 limbs.  I know I will not go hungry or cold today.  I am living in the best time and great things are happening.

Many people romanticize escaping from reality, but reality really is an escape within itself when done right.

Everything is ok.  Everything is meant to teach something.

This is a wondrous, beautiful life.
